Forum established to discuss book, hone history
With the new book, South African Champion set for imminent release, the publisher has established the South African Champion Discussion Group on Facebook to enable readers, enthusiasts and experts in the field of South African motorsport to discuss the book’s broad content.
“Considering we have over 300 pages filled with content, information, data and a 125-year storyline, there’s a fair chance that not everyone will concur with every fact revealed,” author Michele Lupini explains. “So we’re sure there’s room for discussion and to that end, we provide readers and critics the chance to participate and put their opinion on a public forum.”
“There’s no doubt that there will be alternate views, so in the interest of historic relevance, the book credits page invites readers to join the South African Champion Discussion Group on Facebook and have their say, if they reckon that something written or presented may not precisely be what they remember or read somewhere else.”
First copies of South African Champion are expected to ship to eager pre-order customers during the first weeks of June, when books will also be available for delivery nationally and abroad. Sales are initially exclusively via the online portal www.southafricanchampion.com.
South African Champion covers the entire, epic 125-year history of Southern African Formula 1, single seaters, specials and Grand Prix history.
